Dear Parents,

when a hundred years ago the first Montessori schools opened it was obvious that the Method would continue its success and spread to every nook and cranny of the world. Its magnificent perspective, concentration on the child and child’s potential presented a long-awaited alternative to the problems education was facing at that time.

Paradoxically, the beginning of the 21st century welcomed us to a similar reality – lack of individual approach, factory-line mentality and focus on testing and standardization are far from embracing most up-to-date research proving that a human being is only able to learn through activity and following intrinsically motivated curiosity.

In this ever-changing global village the Montessori Method provides us with an opprotunity to respect our students, to empower them without star stickers, A’s or smiley faces’ charts.
